Timothy C. Murray - Founder and President
Tim Murray, Founder and President of Modern Benefits, brings more than 20 years of experience in the health insurance and employee benefits industry. He specializes in developing innovative, cost-effective healthcare and employee benefit strategies tailored to the unique needs of individuals, families, and employers.
After years in the industry, Tim recognized a significant gap in the traditional insurance model—particularly in client service, technology, and access to a broader range of markets and solutions. He founded Modern Benefits to bridge that gap and create a more responsive, innovative, and client-focused approach to employee benefits.
Today, Tim and the Modern Benefits team combine personalized service, modern technology, extensive market access, and creative plan design to help employers control costs, improve benefits, and navigate an increasingly complex healthcare environment.
Tim is licensed in multiple states and holds professional certifications in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), Advanced Self-Funding, and Individual and Family Wellness Programs. He is also certified to assist individuals through the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM).
Antoinette "Toni" Capinig - Operations Manager
With more than three years of experience in customer service, insurance support, and business operations, Toni plays a central role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Modern Benefits. Working closely with the President, she helps coordinate organizational priorities and ensures the agency operates efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service.
Toni oversees key areas including operational workflows, carrier relationships, client service, compliance coordination, EDI and benefits technology, field agent support, marketing initiatives, and administrative operations. She also serves as an important liaison between leadership, clients, insurance carriers, agents, technology partners, and other business relationships, helping ensure effective communication and coordination across the organization.
With a strong focus on organization, efficiency, and continuous improvement, Toni helps strengthen internal processes, implement new technologies and initiatives, and support the continued growth of Modern Benefits. Her adaptability, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence make her an integral part of the agency’s operations and its ability to deliver exceptional service to clients and partners.
